Middle Branch Partners at Medical Technology Ireland: Notes from Galway

Last week, Middle Branch Partners' Larry Barr attended Medical Technology Ireland, held at Galway Racecourse on 23-24 September 2026. The show is described as Europe's second-largest and fastest-growing medical device design and manufacturing show, and it pairs an exhibition with a free two-day conference for R&D, design and manufacturing teams. The location suits it well: Ireland is home to over 300 medtech companies, employing more than 32,000 people, and Galway is a hub for startups, multinationals and research centers alike.

For Larry, the highlight was the networking. The show brought together a wide cross-section of the industry, and he came away with a number of useful meetings and conversations with people building the next generation of medical devices.
